Ms. Buck came to Thurman Funeral Home in 1984 as a partner but has since become the sole proprieter. She graduated from Louisville Mortuary Science, which is now known as Mid-America Mortuary College,in 1977 and began her career at that time. The funeral business has always been considered a "male profession"; however, Ms. Buck changed that standard when she became the first female in the Upper Cumberland to become an active Funeral Director and Embalmer.
Ms. Buck prides herself in funeral service and believes that families should be treated with love, honor, dignity and respect. She also prides herself in ensuring the last wishes of a loved one is followed to utmost detail.
Dennis began working as a part-time employee of Thurman Funeral Home in 2000; however, he became a full-time employee in 2004 when he retired from the White County School System. He is married to Peggy Stacy Wood and they have three children - Stacy, Eric and Carrie.

Billy Buck, assisted by wife Victoria Buck, prides himself in his efforts to work first hand with his clients. Calls are taken directly by Billy and Victoria, ensuring their publics’ needs are met by creating real and personal relationships with their clients. The Buck family works day and night to create a warm and welcoming environment for families from all over the Upper Cumberland to gather.
