Wilburn Dodson

Wilburn Lee Dodson, 89, finished his life on earth on July 1, 2022 peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

Wilburn was born on June 5, 1933 to Robert and Alene Dodson in Warren County, Tennessee.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alene; brother, Eddie Dodson; and grandson, Ryan White.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Ann Dodson (Married 2/17/1990); sons: Terry (Helen) Dodson, Rex (Ellen) White, Billy Joe White, Mark (Chrissy) White; and daughter, Vickie Burks. As well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wilburn was a proud U.S. Army Veteran having served from 1958 to 1963.

He was employed by Mallory from 1968 and retired on July 17,1998.

He was also a proud 60-year member of Vandalia Masonic Lodge #742. Being Initiated: 11/28/1961; Passed: 01/9/1962; and Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on 3/3/1962.

Our hearts may hurt, and lives are forever changed, but we are all so thankful to have had the time and opportunity to know and love such a great man. Not a day will go by that we won’t think of Wilburn Dodson.

Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm with a service thereafter on July 4, 2022.
