She was born in Merrillville, IN to Joseph and Anna Mae Bielak on April 26, 1961.

She is preceded in death by her uncles, Gerome Bielak, and Jim Bielak.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Michael Cheek; sons, Jason cheek, and Brandon Cheek; parents, Joseph, and Anna Mae Bielak; sister, Elizabeth Wise; brothers, Anthony Bielak, Joseph Bielak, and Mark Bielak; uncle, Robert Bielak; aunt, Barbra Knight.
