Willie Sparkman

Willie Mae Sparks Sparkman, Age 86, passed away into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 7, 2018 at Life Care of Sparta where she was a resident for the past four years. She was born February 26, 1931 in Sparta, TN, the daughter of J.T. and Laurine Young Sparks.

On December 16, 1950, she married the love of her life, WC Sparkman, at Blue Springs Presbyterian Church.

As a couple they pursued a career in dairy farming. Hilly View Farm in Doyle, TN, became the home where they would raise their three sons, Johnny, Gary, and Ryan Sparkman. Their farming legacy continues on today to the fifth generation. Mrs. Sparkman was a long time member of Doyle First Baptist Church were she served her Lord. Her life centered around the farm and her family.

She was preceded in death by her, parents, mother-in-law, Pearl Dodson Sparkman, infant sister, brother-in-law, Bob Oliver, and husband, WC Sparkman.

She is survived by sons Johnny and wife Susan, Gary and wife Vivian, all of Sparta, TN; Ryan and wife Robin of Springfield, TN. Grandchildren Jacob, Josh, Derrick, Daniel, Mackenzi, Nicholas, Brooklyn, Tyler, Faith, and Logan. As well as 16 Great grandchildren. Also Survived by two sisters, Opal Oliver and Jonela Hutson and husband Bobby all of Sparta. As well as Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

ARRANGMENTS

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home and Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Blue Springs Presbyterian Church, Bro. David Copland will officiate. Interment will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery.

Serving as pall bearers will be her 10 Grandchildren
