William Sorrell
March 11, 1936 — February 5, 2012
William C. Sorrell, Sr. age 75, of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Hospital. He was born March 11, 1936 in White County, Tennessee to Carroll Sorrell and Lenora Taft Sorrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother, Martha Hickey and John Sorrell. Survivors include his son, Bill Sorrell; daughter, Cyndi Sorrell; sister, Ann Verble, all of Sparta, TN; three grandchildren, William Chad Sorrell and wife, Kellie of Johnson City; Justin Thomas Sorrell and Kayce Nicole Horton and husband, Darin, all of Sparta. Also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Central Church of Christ at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Don Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Zion Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Central Church of Christ at 11:00 a.m. till time of service.
