Truman Douglas Clouse, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.
Truman was born in Board Valley in White County TN on December 11, 1932 to Claude Lee Clouse and Eula Levonia Henry Clouse.
Truman was a high school graduate who worked various tool and die jobs, but his love was his work with the back hoes, dozers, and dump trucks. Even working with his backhoe as recently as June of 2019. He served in the US Army as a screaming eagle during the Korean conflict.
Truman’s love of his life was his wife of 61 years who he lost in December of 2018. Together they built a wonderful life, raised five children and many beloved animals.
Truman never was heard to say a negative word about anyone. He was a man’s man, but a loving, kind, gentle soul. His loss is unbearable for those who loved him. His children and sister love him more than life and when they told him they loved him he always said, “ I LOVE YOU MORE.” He was the best daddy a child could ever have.
Truman is survived by his children, Patricia (Mike) Crawford, Connie Sue Swann (Mike), David Dean (Lori) Clouse, Douglas Keith Clouse, and Gary Glen Clouse; Sister, Netta Mulligan; Sister in-laws, Reba Jean Anderson, Lois Faye Anderson; brother in-law, James (Jimmy)(Diane) Anderson; 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Truman Clouse is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Sue Clouse; His parents, Claude and Eula Henry Clouse; brother, Charles Clouse; sisters, Retha Hunter, and Claudine Cassel; and great-great grandchild, Sawyer David Simmons.
