Sherolyn Ann Hosier, affectionately known as Sherry, was born on November 26, 1940, in Atlanta, Indiana. She passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, in Smyrna, Tennessee, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Sherry’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with moments of joy, creativity, and faith. She was known for her welcoming nature; she never knew a stranger and had an incredible knack for bringing joy to those around her. The warmth she shared was often expressed through music, as she would occasionally break out in song, filling the spaces around her with melodious cheer.
A self-taught artist, Sherry had a passion for both acrylic and oil painting. Her artistic talents were a testament to her creative spirit, and she delighted in sharing her works with those she loved.
Sherry leaves behind her beloved daughter, Rhonda (Kenny) Berry, and several cherished nieces and nephews, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and creativity. She is preceded in death by her father, Justin Grey Lambert; her mother, Virginia Pauline Lambert; and her husband, Rev. John Hosier, as well as her brother, David Lambert.
Sherry’s life was marked by her unwavering faith and the deep connections she formed throughout her journey. She cherished the many revivals and gospel meetings she attended, where her voice and spirit resonated with those gathered.
In remembrance of Sherry’s life, a graveside service will be held at Old Zion Cemetery in Tennessee on November 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to join together to celebrate her remarkable journey and the indelible mark she left on all of our hearts.
