Ruth G. Young, age 88 , passed away on July 28, 2017 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Born May 5, 1929 to Charles Cordell Galloway and Amanda Belle Cooper Galloway in Quebeck, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Roy Thomas Young.
Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Karen and Terry Thompson and Debby and Bill Poppert; granddaughter, Sherry Skiles; grandson, Justin Thompson; step granddaughter, Kristin Jordan; great granddaughters, Sheridan Skiles and Harper Skiles; great grandsons, Alec Thompson and Elijah Thompson; step great grandchildren, Caroline Brasfield, Gant Brasfield, Cooper Jordan and Lanie Kate Jordan; also several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS
The family will receive friends at Thurman Funeral Home, Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11 A.M. until time of service at 1 P.M.
Funeral services will be at Thurman Funeral Home, Monday, July 31, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. Officiating will be Pastor John Nance, from Oak Hill Baptist Church in Griffin, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Jericho Cemetery.
