Ruth Mitchell

Ruth Winton Robbins Mitchell, age 96, of Sparta,TN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 16, 2012 at Life Care Center of Sparta.

She was born March 26, 1916. She was the daughter of Isaac Emit Winton and Flora Catherine Bilbrey Winton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two loving husbands, Hyle Kenneth Robbins and Arthur Mitchell; son, Gary Michael Robbins; brothers and sisters, Lestie Young, Louester Ledbetter, Carrie Norris, Hallie Vaughn, Robert Winton, Bethel Winton, Billie Winton and Carlos Winton.

Survivors include brother, Glen Winton of Sparta; daughter in law, Judy Robbins of Sparta; grandchildren, Jeff and Leigh Robbins, Mitch and Deneane Robbins, Lori and Joe Howard, Sam Robbins and Arthur Robbins all of Sparta; eleven great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Brandon Brown, Hyle Robbins, Hayden Robbins, Keandrea and Brandon Ray, Cameron Robbins, Sarah Robbins, Brandy Robbins, Dustin Howard, Corey Howard, Brandon Howard and Michael Howard; great great grandchildren, Emma Ray, Ella Ray, Aliviah Brown and Zade Brown. Also numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece and nephews, Glenora Milton, Jim Winton and Richard Winton.

ARRANGEMENTS Funeral services will be held at First Community Church, next to Wal Mart in Sparta, Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 10 am. She will lie in state at the church at 9 am till time of service. Officiating will be Bro. Don Kelly. Interment will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery in Alpine, Tennessee.

Family will receive friends at Thurman Funeral Home, Wednesday December 19, 2012 at 4 pm till 8 pm .
