Richard Zinser

September 6, 1929 — September 25, 2013

Richard A. Zinser age 84 of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away on September 25, 2013 at Life Care of Sparta. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1968 (with tours of duty in the Mediterranean and Antarctica) and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He was a current member of the Fleet Reserve Association. He possessed a great love of God and his country.

He was a brother of the Sparta TN Masonic Lodge, No. 99 and past brother of the Union Masonic Lodge, No. 259 New Brighton PA as well as the Mt. Vernon Lodge, No. 4 in North Kingstown, RI. He was a Past Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 440, Sparta, TN.

He was the son of the late Albert George and Helen Beeson Zinser of New Brighton, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy W. Zinser, and his brother, Robert B. Zinser. He is survived by his children, Deborah Z. Hentschell ( husband, Patrick), of Au Gres, Michigan, Richard A. Zinser, Jr. ( wife, Debra) of Farmersville, TX, and Kenneth J. Zinser ( wife, Lisa) of Charlestown, RI; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

ARRANGEMENTS

Memorial services will be held at the First United Presbyterian Church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013. Rev. Jonathan Angel will officiate. No visitation is planned.
