A loyal wife and loving mother, Reba Joyce Guy Wilson, passed away on Thursday, October 10th at the age of 77. The only daughter of Dave and Pauline Guy, Mrs. Wilson was born in Sparta on October 19th, 1935. She grew up in White County, and was educated in a one room schoolhouse with her three brothers, David, Ralph and Eddie Guy. Mrs. Wilson was united in marriage to Robert Cecil Wilson on July 9th, 1953. After spending her young adult years in Detroit, Michigan working as a surgical nurse, Mrs. Wilson returned to Tennessee to settle on R and R Farm, just miles from her birthplace. She worked at White County Community Hospital until 1994 and was a devoted member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church until her death. A talented gardener, cook, and craftswoman, Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband, daughter in law, three grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Ronald Bruce Wilson, brother, David S. Guy, and both parents.

Thurman Funeral Home will hold visitation for Mrs. Wilson from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 12th. Visitation will continue on Sunday, October 13th at Hickory Valley Baptist Church at 1:00 pm.

Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with burial to take place at Frasier's Chapel Cemetery. Following a graveside service, friends and family of Mrs. Wilson will gather to continue the celebration of the life of this special woman who touched the lives of so many.
