Reba Gladys Hutchings

Reba Gladys Donelson Hutchings passed away July 26, 2025 at the age of 93 surrounded by her loving family in Sparta, TN.

She was born May 25, 1932 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Arvie and Dollie Jane Hutchings Donelson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Claud Hutchings; brother, J.C. Donelson; sister, Roberta Rankhorn.

Reba was the heart of her family, compassionate, and endlessly giving. Her warmth had a way of making everyone feel at home. She gave her love freely and fully, always putting others before herself. She was deeply loved by all who had privilege of being part of her life. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jean (Kenneth Dale) McCoy; son, James Danny Hutchings; sister, Tneva Driver; brother, Tom Donelson; grandchildren, Derrick (Kristi) Hutchings, Mickye (Bryan) Steele, Larry Shelley Daniels, Angela (Brandon) Roberts; step grandchildren, Chris McCoy, Stacy McCoy, Jennifer Redmon, Amber Manus, Kia Jordan; great grandchildren, Nataly Steele, Ethan Hilles, Collyer Steele, Olivia Roberts, Laney Roberts, Ansley , Daniels, Auri Daniels, Dade Phillips.

Arrangements:

Visitation will be Tuesday July 29, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. Service starting at 1:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Interment at Peeled Chestnut Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro.Tom Simic.
