Patricia Russell

Patricia Charlene Russell, 77, passed away from this life on September 9, 2017.

Charlene was born November 23, 1939 to the late Minnie Banker and Walter “Shorty” Cole.  She grew up in the Bone Cave Community and attended Van Buren County High School.  She lived much of her life on the same road she grew up on.

Charlene worked for 44 years at Thomas Industries where she made many life-long friendships.  She retired from Thomas Industries in 2002 and devoted the rest of her life to her family, friends, and neighbors.  Her church home was Jericho Church of Christ in Quebec.  In the last years of her life she resided at Trinity Grove in Wilmington, NC where she made many friends.

She is survived by three children; daughter, Janet Russell and husband Bob Lucas of Wilmington, NC and two sons, Bobby and wife Brenda Russell of McMinnville and Johnny and wife Doris of Bone Cave; four grandchildren, Cody, Cole, and Casey Russell and Jordan Lucas; 4 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Jean Sprague of Indiana; and one brother, Herbert Cole and wife Betty also of Indiana.

Ms. Russell was preceded in death by her parents; one son, R J (Jay) Russell, III; two brothers, Andy and Howard Cole; and five sisters, Delma Bryant, Lorene Watkins, Lorell Roberts, Mary Jo Etter, and Harma Luther; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday September 12, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Thurman Funeral Home internment will follow at McElroy cemetery.

Family will receive friends Monday September 11, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Thurman Funeral Home.
