Mrs. Novella S. Roberts Hale, 89, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
Mrs. Hale was born to Willie Joseph Roberts and Mary Edna Wright Roberts on February 16, 1921 in Walling, Tennessee.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-laws, Carolyn Board of Southgate, MI; Delores and Fred Roach of Livingston; Mary Suiter of Antioch; and Rhonda and Michael Bates of Shelbyville; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bessie Roberts; brother, Clyde Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Horace Hale, son, Richman Hale; 2 grandchildren, Thomas Doss and Michael Richman Bates; and 1 great-grandchild, Hannah Regan; sisters and brothers, Martha Lorene Roberts, Myrtle Swindell, Jessie Roberts, Johnny Roberts, H.C. Roberts, Claudie Roberts, Floyd Roberts, Joe Roberts and Kenneth Roberts.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 21, 2010, at Thurman Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Officiating will be Bro. Jimmy Gray. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Thurman Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. til 8:00 pm.
