Mrs. Nannie Rachel Oliver, 86, of Sparta, passed away Friday, November 26, 2010, at her home.
Mrs. Oliver was born January 24, 1924 to Foster Young and Novella Knowles Young in White County, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Verlie H. Oliver, daughter Joyce Cumming, grandson John Doan Cumming IV " Baby Jackie" sisters Johnnie Hamilton and Ernestine Cope, brother Howard Young and half sister Minnie Lee Kerly. Survivors include: daughter Brenda Wilson and husband John; son Donald Oliver and wife Brenda; grandchildren Yolonda Cannon, Nancy Little, Dawnetta Waters, Kim Cumming, Lori Richardson, Brent Oliver, Dana Schultz, Julie Walker and John Cumming IV; great grandchildren Sabrina Kirby, Brandi Kirby, Bryan Kirby, Jennifer Kirby, Deke Waters, Brittani Randolph, Elora Richardson, John D. Cumming V, Joshua Cumming, Brianna Cumming, Justin Cumming, Abby Oliver, Maddie Grace Bailey, Emma Grace Oliver and Molly Walker; great great grandchildren Haley Kirby, Braden Kirby, Lakota Kirby, Dyson Kirby and Annsleigh Kirby; half sister Dorthy Hensley and Marie Seibers; half brothers Ed, Doug, Quenton, Arlie and Kenneth Young. Also several nieces, nephews and friends that loved her dearly.Funeral services will be held Monday, November 29, 2010, at Thurman Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be Bro. Clayton Lee Jr. Interment will follow in the Saylors Cemetery. Pallbearers Donald Oliver, Rick Waters, Mike Richardson, Brent Oliver, Bob Schultz, John Cumming IV, Deke Waters and John Cumming V.
