Myra Speck

Myra Ola McCain Speck, age 72, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 after battling a long illness, at Signature Health Care in Algood, TN.

She was born in Leoma, Tennessee on October 1, 1944 to Noel McCain and Ola B. McCain.

Myra attended High School in Loretta, TN where she was a Majorette in the band. She earned her business degree in Nashville, TN, while working at National Life Insurance Co. This where she met her husband Tyrone Speck and later moved to Sparta, TN where she worked in the office as a secretary at Sparta Shirt Factory. Tyrone and Myra later became owners of Brasel's Fruit Market where she loved her customers. She was a devoted wife and mother of her four children. She loved her granddaughters and great grandbabies.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Tyrone Speck, son, Robert Daryl Speck, and brother, Gary Noel McCain.

She is survived by her children, Diane Speck, Kevin Speck both of Sparta; and Debbie Speck and fiancAC.e Brian Bubel of Rickman; grandchildren Laken Howell and husband Michael, Carson Speck and Elyzabeth Collier; great grandchildren, Addison Howell and Riley Howell; brother, Earl McCain and wife Patty of Leoma; sister in law, Jane Quigley of AL; brother in law, Floyd Speck and wife Nancy of Dyersburg, TN. and special friends, Karen Roper and Margaret Anderson. Also host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS

Funeral services will be in the Thurman Funeral Home, Friday November 4, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.. Officiating will be Sister DaWanna Lopez burial will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery in White County.

Family will receive friends at Thurman Funeral Home, Thursday, November 3 , 2016 at 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m.
