Mary Shockley

Mary Louise Dibrell Shockley age 89, passed  away Thursday,  January 31, 2019 at NHC of Sparta

Mary was born July 2, 1929 to John Henry Dibrell and Dimple Mai Dibrell.

She was Preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Dibrell and Dimple Mai Dibrell; husband, James Robert Shockley;

one sister, Deloris (Lois) Dibrell Bryant; brothers, John Henry Dibrell, and Sammy Dibrell; sister in law; Wilma Ann Dibrell; and one step brother,

Easton Shockley.

She is survived by sister in law, Joyce Dibrell of Sparta; two step sisters, Gwendlyn Elligan of Sparta, and Sara Torn of Detroit. A host of nephews and nieces and many friends.

She loved to sing and dance and she loved her church where she attended Kynett United Methodist.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. At Thurman Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Thurman funeral home. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery.
