Mary Allison

Mary E. Sliger Allison, age 86 of Sparta, TN, passed away September 7, 2012 at NHC of Sparta. She was born April 4, 1926, in Putnam County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Joseph and Myrtle Tollison Sliger. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Willie "Bill" Allison; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Jeanette Allison Herren and Milton; her son and daughter in law, Bobby and Patricia Allison; all of Sparta, TN; Four sisters, Shirley Henley of Cookeville, TN; Plina Wilson of Cookeville, TN; Jean Rice of Cookeville, TN and Doris and Bill Loftis of Florida and one brother, Lynn and Arlena Sliger of Baxter, TN. She also was survived by four grandchildren, Terry and Andrea Geer of Doyle, TN; Greg and Lisa Allison of Sparta,TN, Michele and Chad Holder of Sparta, TN, and Tammy and Mike Brumfield of Sparta, TN. She had four great grandchildren that she adored Allison Geer of Doyle, TN, Sydney Holeman of Sparta, TN, Matt Brumfield of Sparta,TN and Alex Holder of Franklin, TN.

Arrangements:

Family will receive friends at the Thurman Funeral Home, Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., at Thurman Funeral Home, officiating Bro. Doug Benningfield. Pall Bearers: Greg Allison, Robert Austin, Roy Sliger, Kendall Riley, Leman Sliger and Ronald Sliger; alternates Chad Holder, Jerry Austin and Eddie Herren.

Burial will follow in the Saylors Cemetery.
