Martha Thompson

Martha Jean Cessante Thompson, age 67, was born on February 23, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to Nunzio Cessante and Florence Romano Cessante. She passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at N. H. C. In Sparta, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers,Julius Cessante and Nunzio Cessante; two sisters, Nancy House and Florence Cessante. Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband William "Bill" Thompson of Sparta, two sons , Patrick Thompson and wife Tracey of Doyle, TN., and Joey Thompson of Westland, Michigan., one daughter, Abby Sutton and husband Barry, of Temple Georgia., one brother, Vincente Cessante, of Canton, Michigan ; three sisters, Rose Milavec of Westland, Michigan, Celestine Cessante also of Westland, Michigan, and Virginia Ardley, of Ontario, Canada, and one aunt, Mary Waling and husband Tom of Plymouth, Michigan. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Paige Thompson, Cassidy Thompson, Cody Smiley, and McKenzie Anderson. Funeral services will be held at Thurman Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in the Plainview Cemetery at Cassville. Rev. David Rahamut will officiate.
