Mrs. Lorene Carter Foster, age 85, of Sparta, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011, at NHC of Sparta.
Mrs. Foster was born April 15, 1925 to Andrew "Andy" Jackson Carter and Arminta Sherrill in White County, Tennessee.
Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews. Special niece Diane Johnson and special friends Gary and Dimple McBride. Also a special thank you to her NHC family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Herbert Foster; brothers, Roe, Herman, Marvin, Alvin and Charlie Carter; sisters, Carrie Bell Dunn and Gladys Marie Carter. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at Thurman Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Bro. Marvin Dan Horton and Bro. David England. Interment will follow in the Carter Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Thurman Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. till time of service.
