Mrs. Linnie Maynard Howard, age 92 of Sparta, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at NHC of Sparta.
Mrs. Howard was born August 29, 1918 to Alfred Maynard and Ethel McCaleb Maynard in Putnam County, Tennessee.
Survivors include sister in law, Edith Lowe; nieces, Shelby Jean Dyer and Cathy Haynes; nephews, J.D. Vaughn and Harold Lloyd Maynard. Also several great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Pat Howard; brothers Floyd Maynard, Alfice Maynard and Hubert Maynard; sisters, Veda Vaden and Vinnie Vaughn.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011, at Thurman Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be Bro. Freddie Copeland. Interment will follow in the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Putnam County.
