Obituary

Laura May Suzanne Crawford, age 44, of McMinnville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Laura was born January 23, 1982, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Rodney Stanley Hill Sr. and Diane Young Clendenon. She worked as a caregiver, devoting her days to looking after others. She had a big heart for her cats, and she prided herself on providing matriarchal support for all her siblings and friends. She enjoyed playing card games with family and friends. She had a strong faith in Christianity. She was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Brett Everett Crawford; her children, David Wayne Stoll, Bryce Allen Stoll, Joshua Christian Crawford, Jeremy Lee Hayden Gage Crawford, and Kadence Harley Raven Crawford; her biological father, Jerry Wayne Forsythe; her mother, Diane Young; her siblings, Mary Josephine Hill, Heather Diane Zetko, April Alisha Beth Isaacson, Sarah Louise Brown, Jerry William Ellis Forsythe Jr., Joshua Aarron Forsythe, and Kayla Gottfried-Cook; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rodney Stanley Hill Sr.; her Nana, Laura Jane Clendenon; her mother-in-law, Janice Mae Crawford; her nephew, Skylar Reese Hill; and her niece, Modesty Ann Marie Brown.

Special mention to Betty Joe Gentry and Julie Erika Allen.

Laura was seen by family and friends as a strong-willed, funny, smart, and family-oriented woman: a loving mother, an exceptional wife, and a devoted friend, who will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Jason Coffelt and Bro. Dewey Young officiating. Interment will follow at Skurlock Cemetery.
