Laneita Cuthrell

LaNeita Lorena LaMarr Cuthrell's, age 93, earthly walk ended on September 20, 2013 at 1:10 pm CST and she was instantly ushered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Just as she did her entire life, she passed quietly away under her terms.

LaNeita was born at home, September 10, 1920, in Akron, OH to William and Mary Rosa LaMarr. She lived in Akron for 72 years before moving to Doyle, TN.

LaNeita was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Orvid and William LaMarr and sisters Lucille and Iona LaMarr.

Survivors include her daughters, LaNeita Cuthrell Williams of Canyon Country, CA and Marilyn (Don) Cole of Doyle, TN. She has 6 grand children, Tracie Harris Bosket of Canyon Country, CA and David (April) Cole of Walling TN, Daniel, Douglas, Dustin, and Darin Cole of Doyle, TN. Also surviving are 6 great grand children, Kaija Bosket of Davis, CA, Corrie and Summer Bosket of Canyon Country, CA, Alyssa and Jada Cole of Walling, TN and Jaslyn Cole of Doyle, TN.

LaNeita graduated from Ellet High School in 1939. She was employed at Star Drill where she met her husband, while working as a secretary. She attended and received her degree from Hammel Business College. This led to her starting her own cleaning service and was self employed for many years. Later, she transferred her skills to the cleaning crew at The Chapel In University Park. LaNeita had been a member of The Chapel dating back to the days of the Chapel on Brown and Vine. After her years of service at The Chapel, she was employed at Durham Electric in Brimfield, where she retired to become the caregiver of her 98 year old mother. Lovingly she taught Sunday School for 40 plus years at The Chapel and also was a member of the Ladies Missionary group that made clothes for the children of Africa. Upon moving to Tennessee she became a member of Bear Cove Baptist Church.

Her family will miss her jokes, pranks, and one liners, but know that she is rejoicing with her family in heaven.

ARRANGEMENTS

Funeral services will be Monday, September 23, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. Officiating will be Bro. Jerry Pullum. Interment will follow in the Plainview Cemetery in Cassville Community.

Family will receive friends, Monday, September 23, 2013 at Thurman Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. till time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts may be made in her name to Bear Cove Baptist Church 1590 Country Club Rd., Sparta, TN 38583 or Harvest Baptist Church 27225 Camp Plenty Rd., Santa Clarita, CA 91351.
