He was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on October 29, 1942
He is preceded in death by his parents, Varris and Ima Dimple Carter Elrod
He is survived by his wife Marneal Louise Elrod; children, Charlotte (Gary) Allen, Tiffany Phipps, and Jason Elrod; stepchildren, Rita Reagan, Becky Hamby, Leisa Swallows, Janet Emery, Gary Lowe, and Stan Lowe; sister, LouAnn Simmons; brothers, Arnold (Debbie) Elrod, Harold (Brenda) Elrod, Mark (Sherry) Elrod, Jerry (Charlotte) Elrod, and Paul (Tammie) Elrod; 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives.
Arrangements:
There will be a graveside service on January 5, 2023, at Carter Cemetery in Sparta, TN at 2:00 pm.
