John Lynn Young

John Lynn Young, age 83 passed away Sunday October 12, 2025 at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta, TN.

He was born April 12, 1942 to Noah and Bula Young in Sparta, TN.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elton Turner; sisters, Ruth Cantrell, Jean Luna; grandson, Jeremy Vick; beloved dog, Goober.

He is survived by his children, Ruthie (Richard) Stafford, Christy (Rick) Rose, Jeff (Kathy) Young, Randy (Whittney) Goines; grandchildren, Kimberly Young, Jeffery (Brittany) Young, Jonathon (Britnee) Johnson, Isaiah Phifer; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Bud (Shela) Young; also, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins and a dog named Poncho.
