Hubert Bryant
November 25, 1917 — July 18, 2016
Hubert Lee Bryant, 98, of Sparta, TN went peacefully to be with the Lord on July 18, 2016.
Mr.Bryant was born on November 25, 1917, in White County, TN to John and Mollie Bryant.
He was a United States Army World War II veteran, sergeant in the 6th Calvary and Patton's 3rd Army serving his country from 1940-1945. He was awarded a Purple Heart, 3 Bronze Stars and numerous other medals.
He also served in the C.C.C. (Civilian Conservation Corps). Also Hubert enjoyed his hobby of Model A Cars, singing to family and friends and loving on his special cat Smokey.
He preceded in death by parents, 7 brothers, 5 sisters and 1 half brother.
Survivors include his beautiful wife of 69 years Martha Mae Payne Bryant of Sparta, TN; one brother John Bryant of Anderson, IN; Daughters, Carolyn McCann (Rodger) of Sparta, TN, Connie Wood (Charles) of Walling, TN; Grandchildren, Melody Edmonds (Keith) of Sparta, TN, Melissa Hunsicker (Harmon) of Goodlettsville, TN, Jamie Wood of Sparta, TN, Amy Smith (Chris) of Walling, TN, Great Grandchildren, Kristin Payne(Chris), Jacob, Lauren and Lindsey Hunsicker of Goodlettsville, TN, Lily Jordan of Walling, TN; Great Great Grandchildren, Meleah and MaKaylee Payne of Sparta, TN and Very Special Friend, Jere Wilson of Sparta, TN and several nieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS:
Funeral service will be Friday, July 22, 2016 at Thurman Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at Old Bon Air Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Rodger McCann.
Family will receive friends Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Thurman Funeral Home at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m..
