Hallie Maurine Rogers Shannon., age 101 of Doyle, passed away August 3, 2013 at Life Care in Sparta, Tennessee.
She was born July 4, 1912 in Smithville, Tennessee. Her parents were Tom Rogers and Mary Johnson Rogers .
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband. Gaines Shannon; Sons; Roy Shannon, Earl Shannon, and J. C. Shannon. Grand son; Terry Shannon, Brothers; Erskin Rogers, Gaston Rogers, and Leslie Rogers; Sisters; Mattie Lou Rutledge, Jim Henry Randolph, Alene Dodson, and Agnes Winfrey.
She is survived by her sons, Billy Shannon and wife Jessie of Talmadge, Ohio, and Bobby Shannon and wife Hattie of Doyle, as well as a daughter, Faye Young, of Sparta. She is also survived grand children, Danny Shannon, Tim Shannon, Tammie Shannon, Bruce Shannon, Rita Johnson, Sharon Bowman, Benny Shannon, Kenny Shannon, and Rodger Shannon, as well as twenty-one great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, a very special friend, Mary Hudgens of Sparta, and all the staff at Life Care
ARRANGEMETS
Funeral service will be at Thurman Funeral Home, Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Bro. Dewey Young, Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Doyle, TN.
Family will receive friends at Thurman Funeral Home, Monday, August 5, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
