Gilbert Hay Iii

Gilbert Hays III passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in his home in Sparta, TN.

Gilbert was born on December 13, 1947 to Gilbert and Norma Hays in Rockwood, TN.

Gilbert was a sweet, gentle, and kind man. He was wonderful at cooking (unusual foods.) He was a world traveler with the Merchant Marines and his favorite place was the Pacific Rim (Japan, The Philippines, Hawaii.)

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Norma.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Hays of Sparta; Aunt, Gwyndoline Mabry and cousin, Ardith Mabry of California; Cousin, Doug Hay of Hawaii; and brother, Robert (Becky) Hay.

The family will receive friends at Thurman Funeral Home in Sparta, TN,    Monday, February 19, 2018 at 5 P.M. until  8 P.M.
