George Vincent Mihal, Sr., age 83, of Sparta, TN, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Highlands Medial Center of Sparta. He was born February 18, 1929 to Elizabeth Betty and John William Mihal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; cherished wife of 58 years, Cherry LaDell Rickard Mihal; sons, Barry Mihal and Fredrick Mihal; siblings, Marie Ungvarsky, John Mihal, Betty Easton and Lucille Crolie.
Survivors include children; Debra (Richard) Taylor of TN, George (Evelyn) Mihal, Jr. of CA, George (Ruby) Harvey of WV, John (Marlene) Mihal of NH, Allen (Ellie) Smalley of TN and Sandi (Gary) Fell of IL; siblings, Fred Mihal of PA and Cynthia Zengulis of PA. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren as well as many friend and loved ones.
