Elvis Masters

Mr. Elvis Masters, age 82, passed November 1, 2011 at his residence in the Old Zion Community. He was born in Jackson County, TN to Millard Keaton Masters and Zora Merta Ledford Masters.

Mr. Masters served our country in the United States Army in 1948, he enjoyed his farming and was retired from Thomas Industries. He was survived by his children, Jeanne Bussell and husband, D.C. of Old Zion Community and special daughter, Shawna Evon Myers of Doyle; grandchildren, Joshua Keaton Austin and Megan Danielle Bussell; brother, Herman Masters and wife, Josie of Sparta. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 59 years, Agnes (Billie)Jones Masters; brothers and sisters, Grady Masters and wife Linnie, Kenneth Masters, Willie Masters, Ina Matthews and husband, Lloyd and Effie Stewart and husband, Horace.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Thurman Funeral Home, 5 p.m. til time of service.

A memorial service will be at Thurman Funeral Home, November 3, 2011, at 6 p.m. with Bro. David Lee England officiating.

Interment will be at a later date.
