Ellen Jordan

Ellen "Trixie" Mayfield Jordan left this world to be with the Lord on February 25, 2014 after an extended illness. She was a former employee of Wilson Manufacturing and a longtime member of Smith Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jordan is survived by two children: Robin Jordan of Bowling Green, Kentucky and David Jordan (fiancAC., Connie Fish) of Sparta, Tennessee. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Shane Hodges (wife, Michelle) of Spokane, Washington; Jeney Slusser (husband, James) of Smyrna, Tennessee; Stephanie Jordan of Lebanon, Tennessee; and Eric Jordan of Fort Carson, Colorado. Mrs. Jordan is survived by four great-grandchildren: Tyson Hodges, August Slusser, Scarlet Hodges, and Violet Slusser. She is also survived by one sister: Lois Miller of Crossville, Tennessee. Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Jordan; her parents, Walter and Jenny Mayfield, and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Sparta, Tennessee with burial to follow at Old Bon Air Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home.
