Dorothy Emogene Burton, age 88, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at NHC of Sparta, Tennessee.
She was born to George Issac Henry and Addie Caroline Whiteaker Henry on February 16,1927 in Sparta, Tennessee
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Hubert Burton; children, Jerry Burton and Joyce Conley; sister, Ora Spivey, Cora Moore, Esther Murdock, and Ann Bean; brother, Andy Henry. Survivors include children, Cordell Burton and wife Sandra, Darrell Burton and wife Katie, Glenda Marshall and husband George, Kathy Duncan and husband Donnie and Gayle Murdock and husband Mike; grandchildren, Regina Barlow, Brandie Eldridge, Josh Burton, Rhonda Simmons, Christy Slone, Jason Duncan, Brian Murdock, Mary Ann Savage, Ricky Conley, and Greg Conley; 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Thurman Funeral Home at 11 A.M., Burial will follow in the Upper Cherry Creek Cemetery in Sparta.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Thurman Funeral Home at 5 P.M. till 8 P.M.
