Mrs. Demcie Loftis Owen, 92, of Sparta, passed away Nov 18, 2010, at the Pennybyrn at Maryfield in High Ponit, NC.
Mrs. Owen was born February 21, 1918 to Clarence S. Loftis and Jessie Mae Southard Loftis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles G. Owen
Survivors include: Daughters: Juanita Pryor and husband Scott of Murfreesboro,TN and Lynette Hodgin and husband Wray of Jamestown, NC; son Chuck Owen and wife Jeannie of Knoxville,TN; grandchildren,Monica Helton, Amy Martin, Beth Hodgin, Leslie Maness, Michael Hhnson, DeDe Owen, Rodney Owen and Sara Cox; 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Athens Church of Christ at 2:00 P.M. Officiating will be Bro. Tommy Irons and Bro. Trey Helton. Interment will follow in the Southard Cemetery .
Family will receive friends Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Thurman Funeral Home from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm.
