She was born to Joseph Dorton and Martha Parsons on February 14, 1957, in Augusta, GA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Louis Torres Sr.; brother, David Dorton, stepson, Michael Torres.

She is survived by her daughter, Chastity (David) Henson; stepchildren, Louis (Michelle) Torres, Pam Cox; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren
