David Cole

April 23, 1978 — January 10, 2016

David Reed Cole, age 37, completed his earthly walk on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at his home in Doyle, Tennessee.

He was born in Putnam County to his parents, Donald Reed and Marilyn Sue Cuthrell Cole. David was a graduate of White County High School (Class of 1996) and a member of the Warrior Baseball Team. David began working at Sparta Food Lion at the age of 16. After high school graduation he attended Motlow Community College while working at Bill Boruff Automotive. Following college, he was employed at Cherry Creek Electric and gained valuable knowledge as an electrician. After his second daughter was born, David became "Mr. Mom" taking care of their daughters, when April returned to work. David was recently employed at Yoruzo in Morrison. He was a member of Bear Cove Baptist Church.

David was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Euklie B. Cole and Mary D. Roberts Cole Kostelny and maternal grandparents James P. and LaNeita LaMarr Cuthrell. In addition to his parents, David is survived by his daughters, Alyssa Anne and Jada Angelee Cole; brothers Daniel, Douglas, Dustin, and Darin Cole; niece, Jaslyn Danielle Cole; two aunts LaNeita Williams of Santa Clarita, California, and Sharon Stanley (Cliff) of Sparta; cousins Tracie Bosket of Santa Clarita, Mike Stanley (Angie), and Candy Stanley Phillips (Todd) all of Sparta and numerous other relatives and special friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Thurman Funeral Home at 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. Bro. Jerry Pullum will be officiating. Interment will follow the service at Lost Creek Cemetery.

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Bear Cove Baptist Building Fund or the White County Humane Society.
