In Loving Memory of Daniel J. Hoose

“Grampie” “Poo-Paws”

November 29, 1959 – October 10, 2026

Daniel J. Hoose was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul whose love for his family and his passions in life made him truly special. He was a man who found joy in the simple things, had a creative spirit, and left a lasting impression on the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He had a lifelong appreciation for antique cars and enjoyed spending time golfing, drawing, painting, and making pottery. Art was a special part of his life, and he treasured the friendships he formed with his beloved painting group. They were more than just a group of people who shared a hobby; they were dear friends who brought him happiness and whom he loved dearly. He also shared a special bond with his best friend, Vaughn, whose friendship held a cherished place in his life.

Above all else, his family was his greatest treasure. He loved his wife, Janet, his children, and his grandchildren deeply. His gentle nature and loving heart will forever be a part of the people he leaves behind.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet; his children, Roger and his wife, Nicole; Caroline and her husband, Matt; and Danny and his wife, Lindsay; his three cherished grandchildren, Grace, Michael, and Eleanor; his beloved sisters, Debbie and Charlene; and his best friend, Vaughn.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Layla; his parents, Donald and Frances Hoose; and his sister, Vivian.

Daniel was a man who did not have to be loud to make an impact. His kindness, his quiet spirit, his creativity, and the love he gave so freely were what made him who he was. The memories he created, the beauty he found in art, and the love he shared with his family and friends will live on long after his passing.

He was loved more than words can express, and he will be missed more than words could ever explain. Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we are grateful for the time we were blessed to have him in our lives. His love will remain with us always, and he will never be forgotten.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
