Dan Baker

Mr. Dan Martin Baker, age 77 passed August 16, 2010, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mr. Baker was born to J. C. and Gustie Baker on June 7, 1933 in Sparta, Tennessee .

He is survived by his two sons: Gary Baker of Ethridge, TN., and Don Baker of McMinnville, TN., and two daughters, Donna Hartsfield of Leoma, TN., and Jean Doub and husband David of Summertown, Tn. He is also survived by three brothers; Tom Baker, Dick Baker, and Sam Baker all of Sparta, TN., along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Janet Deverna Baker.

Family will receive friends at Bennet-May-Giles County Funeral Home in Pulaski, Tennessee, on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 Pm, and then at Thurman Funeral Home, in Sparta on Friday, August 20, 2010, from 11 AM until time of the service at 2:00 PM.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, August 20, 2010, at Thurman Funeral Home, in Sparta, TN.
Burial will be in Robinson Chapel Cemetery in Sparta, Tennessee.
