Clara Belle Denton Hodges, age 81, of Cummingsville, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2012. She was born January 8, 1931, in Quebeck, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Mae Sparkman and the beloved wife of the late Murphy C. Hodges and was a life long resident of Van Buren County. She was a graduate of White County High School in Sparta, Tennessee. Our family has been graced by the life of this lovely woman. Her devotion to her husband and children has left an everlasting impression that will never be forgotten.

She was a lady like woman. Always polite, gracious, meek and humble. She was a wonderful homemaker, a talented cook, gardener and quilter. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She took the utmost pleasure in helping others and never did anything halfway.

She has given her family and friends beautiful memories and her life has been a fine example for loved ones left behind. She was beautiful in everyway. Her rare and special spirit will linger in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Sherry Hodges and Gary Keeton of Round Top, Texas; her sons and daughter in law, Jerry Hodges of Doyle and Mike and Teresa Hodges of Cookeville; her sisters and brother in laws, Linda and Donald Haston of Celina, Tennessee, Alma and W.C.
