Christy Charlene Garrett,age 50,from Sparta, passed away peacefully at Alive Hospice Care Center in Murfreesboro on September 26,2026.

She was born October 9,1975 in Sparta to Joe Tom and the late Geneva (Davis) Donelson.

She lived her whole life in Sparta surrounded by family and friends.

She worked as a housekeeper for many years until health issues altered her life.

She loved to cook and spend time with family.

She has one son, Shawn Garrett, who was the light of her life, and cared for her for many years through health struggles.

She is survived by her father, son, sister Patrica Barnes, and many more family members.

She is preceded in death by her mother.

There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
