Miss Carolyn Faye Howard was born December 1, 1949 in Sparta, Tennessee the daughter of Bertha West Howard .

Miss Howard worked in housekeeping at Quinco Mental Health in Selmer, Tennessee and had worked as a hydration aid at McNairy Health Care Center in Selmer. She Attended Church of the Crossroads in Corinth, Mississippi, Harvest Church in Guys Tennessee and Petra Ministries in Selmer, Tennessee.

Her name, Carolyn means a noble and strong woman, and she lived up to her name. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. She loved people especially children, enjoyed singing and loved animals. She always had a smile on her face, she was an angel sent from God as a gift to her family and everyone that came in contact with her. She was a friend to all who knew her, she will be greatly missed.

Miss Howard departed this life on March 17, 2011 surrounded by her loving family in Ramer, Tennessee at the age of 61 years, 3 months, 16 days. She is survived by her mother, Bertha Howard of Selmer, TN; a sister, Shirley McCowan and husband Blane of Ramer,TN; nephew, Joey McCowan; niece, Tahnee Pittman and husband Jeff; great nieces and nephews, Joey Jr., Seth, David Shaina and Brandon Kyle McCowan, Jace and Jacob Pittman, Jessicia Thomas, Nicole and Amber Holloway; host of friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 21, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. at Thurman Funeral Home, Interment will follow at Howard Cemetery in White County.

Family will receive friends Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at Thurman Funeral Home, Sparta, TN.
