Carl "Doug" Douglas England, age 82 of Sparta, TN, passed away August 13, 2015 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
He was born in White County, Tennessee, November 3, 1932, the son of Alpha England and Della Rice England.
Preceded in death by his parents; and step- daughter, Cheryl Henderson
Survivors include his wife, Jean A. England; children, Mary A. Cook (Rufus) and Leonard D. England (Pam); step-children, Robyn Peterson, James A. Henderson (Annel), Russell W. Henderson (Benita) and Mary C. Russell; grandchildren, Eric W. L. Cook (Kate), Erin G. Faust (Matt) and Annette M. England; step-grandchildren, John R. Hamilton (Britt), Brandie J. Rodriguez (Primo), Justyn Peterson and Matthew Russell; great-grandchildren, Dakota Cook, Aubrey Cook, Mattie Cook, Nate Faust and Reagan Faust; brothers, Edward Clay England (Joyce) and Alpha Eugene England (Arleen); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 12:30 P.M. at Thurman Funeral Home on Wednesday August 19, 2015. Bro. Jeff Kesley will officiate. Interment will be in the Black Oak Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Thurman Funeral Home on Wednesday August 19, 2015, from 10:00 a.m until time of the service at 12:30 p.m.
