Billy Carl Masters

Billy Carl Masters age 81, passed away peacefully, Wednesday September 4, 2024 at home, with family by his side.

Survived by his loving wife of 60 years Diana (Elrod) Masters; children Edward (Heather) Masters, Larry Masters, Michael Masters and Sonya (Steve) DiNardo; grandchildren Monica, Jennifer, Bryan, Justin, Zulema, Bianca, Leylah, Mikey, Amira, Aaron, Courtney, Anthony, Amanda and Sara; 19 great grandchildren; one brother Ray Masters. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by granddaughter Aubrey; parents Grady and Linnie Masters and one sister Sue Lohorn.

Born in Sparta, TN, living in Shorewood, IL since 1967. Billy retired from Ball Glass, Plainfield, IL in 1996 and Dial Corp., Montgomery, IL in 2009. Billy loved music, playing many different instruments. He enjoyed sports and especially watching his grandkids at their sporting events. Billy was known for fixing things around the house and cars. He was a good Christian man and was dedicated to the Lord.

Arrangements:

Visitation will be on Thursday September 12, 2024 starting at 2:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Friday September 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Officiating Rudy Oaks. Interment to follow at Old Zion Cemetery.
