Betty Clouse

March 24, 1940 — December 31, 2018

Betty Sue Clouse, age 78, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta, TN.

Sue was born in Ravenscroft, TN on March 24, 1940 to J.B. Anderson and Hazel Marie Anderson.

Sue attended elementary and high school without missing a single day. She also skipped the seventh grade. She was proud of this accomplishment.  Betty Sue Clouse was a college graduate who worked her way through college, while raising five small children. She worked at Mallory Timers in Sparta, Tennessee, Libbey Glass in Shreveport, Louisiana and was a licensed real estate agent.

Sue was an avid animal lover, never turning a rescue down and would even come get her children’s animals at times. She loved her farm and home dearly that she built and shared with her loving husband.

Sue met her husband, Truman Clouse, when she was only 16 and her proudest achievement was being his wife for 61 years. She was also proud to be a mother to her five children. She was the rock of the Clouse family, the one that each family member turned to in a time of need. Her husband and family will miss her dearly for the rest of their lives.

Sue is survived by her husband, Truman Douglas Clouse; sons, David Dean (Lori) Clouse, Douglas Keith Clouse, and Gary Glen Clouse; daughters, Patricia Jean (Mike) Crawford, and Connie Sue Swann; brother, James (Jimmy) Loyd (Diane) Anderson; sisters, Lois Fay Anderson, and Reba Jean Anderson; Sister in-law, Netta Mullican;      15 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
