Barbara Sue Gentry

Barbara Sue Gentry, age 80, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee.

She was born June 9, 1946, in Sparta, Tennessee, to William Clayton Gentry and Vergie Estelle Gentry.

She was a graduate of White Co. High School the class of 1964.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Virginia (Charles) Edith Hickey; and her brother, William Donald Gentry.

She is survived by her sister, Carolyn (Frank) Nash; niece and nephew, including Crystal (Eric) Koger, Cory (Jo) Nash; great-nieces and nephews, Halli (Jesse) Haywood, Lexi (Robert) Agee, Emma Nash; several other great-nieces and great-nephews.

Arrangements: 

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 20, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, with Bro. Dan Horton officiating.
