Arlin Stults

Mr. Arlin Estus Stults, age 66, of Sparta passed away September 3, 2011 at his home in Sparta surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Stults was born December 3, 1944 in White County to Ray and Linnie Scott Stults.

He served in the United States Air Force From 1962 - 1966, he retired from Alabama Oil Company in 1996, he was a Volunteer with the Sparta Fire Dept. for 35 years. Coached for Sparta Little League and at one time was Regional Director for umpire association, Also was with TSSAA in our region. He was inducted to White County Basketball hall of Fame for his service as time keeper. He was an active deacon at Central Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Perry Stults. Survivors include wife of 46 years, Sarah Carolyn Barker Stults of Sparta; Daughter and Son-in-Law, April Stults Taylor and Mike Taylor of Cookeville; granddaughter, Braydyn Rose Taylor of Cookeville; sister, Virgie Stults of Sparta; brother, Waymon Stults of Algood; sisters-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Debbye Knowles and husband, Bob of Weldon Springs, MO; Lester Barker Jr. and wife, Beverly of Murfreesboro; Leesa Barker; Travis Barker and wife, Amy; Tracey Barker and wife, Shelia all of Sparta; special aunt, Bettye Floyd of Sparta; special sister-in-laws, Mae Stults of Algood and Patty Stults of Sparta. Nephews and nieces: Dr. Robert Knowles, Ashley Lewis, Keri Seay, Brittney Barker, Bryan Vincion, Bradley Barker, Kendall Barker, Eli Barker, Shelby Barker, Austin Hall, Bruce Null, Alan Null, Stephen Stults, Jeff Stults and Greg Stults; great-nephews and nieces, Bryan, Lucy, Hannah and Rebekah Knowles, Alex Lewis, Lindsey and Carter Vincion and Kearsten Prater, Victoria (Tori), Zachary and Addison Stults, Brian and Breanna Stults, Scott Null and Kerri Null West, Eric and Mark Null; and great- great-niece, Shyanna Null.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Central Church of Christ from 4:oo P.M till 8:oo P.M. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at Central Church of Christ with Bro. Don Burns and Brother-in-law, Tracey Barker. Active Pallbearers: Bradley Barker, Kendall Barker, Eli Barker, Carl England, Bruce Null Robert Knowles and Dave Weber and Honorary Pallbearers, Sparta Fire Dept., Ben Knox, Ed Kay, Stanley Neal and Roy Weaver. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
