Altie Cleo Wilson, age 93, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at Bethesda Health Care in Cookeville.
Ms. Cleo was born in Jackson County, Tennessee on December 30, 1922 to John L. Mc Coin and Bessie Cherry McCoin.
She was a faithful member of West Sparta Church of Christ for many years, and was a loving wife, mother and granny. Also, she worked as a teacher at West Sparta Stepping Stones until she retired. She was so loved by many.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Andrew Harrison Wilson, son, Paul Harrison Wilson, sister, Johnnie Jernigan, daughter-in-law, Mary Cole Wilson.
She is survived by her son, John Wayne Wilson and wife Brenda; daughter, Jo Anna Wilson; Sister, Olene Mitchell; grandchildren, Sonya (Aron) Mooneyham, Shana (Ernesto) Gago, Mary John (Mimi) Young and Terry Sims; great-grandchildren, Sara Myra- Marie Mooneyhan, Patrick Harrison Gago, Patricia Haylee Gago and Paulina Marie Gago; daughter-in-law, Patricia Wilson. Also a host of nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS:
Funeral services will be at Thurman Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. Internment will follow at Old Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Thurman Funeral Home at 12:00 P.M. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Stepping Stones in memory of Ms. Cleo Wilson. Pallbearers: Aron Mooneyhan, Ernesto Gago, Patrick Gago, Chris Young, Bo Young and Walt Holman.
