Albert Motta

Mr. Albert Motta, age 80, formerly of Ponte Vedra, FL, a resident of Sparta, TN passed away December 7, 2024 at NHC Healthcare in Sparta, TN.

 Albert was born April 6, 1944 in Bronx, New York City. 

He was a graduate of the Naval Academy and served in the US Navy. He was an outstanding athlete and distinguished himself as the heavyweight boxing champion while attending the Naval Academy. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mario, sister, Lenora, and daughter, Dawyn. 

He is survived by his wife, Suzie Motta, his stepchildren Dan Bissell and wife Christie of Haleiwa, HI, Megan Bissell also of Haleiwa, HI, brother-in-law Bob Gallaher and wife Janell of Cookeville, TN, brother-in-law Rhea Gallaher of New York, one brother, 

Anthony and wife Sharon, sister-in-law Carol, many nephews and nieces and families as well as many special friends and tennis buddies in Florida. 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of NHC Healthcare in 

Sparta for their care and kindness during Albert's illness. 

Arrangements:

 No services are planned; however, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
